The foundation – which houses precious string instruments available to young talents – asked for a bay apt to high grade airing of audio and video recordings. Characterized by a foyer-like ambience, the new space matches traditional materials – typical of music rooms – with a contemporary design. Exterior parts are made with travertine. At the core of the building, a central corridor is lined with cases for storing the musical instruments in a controlled atmosphere. In the listening area, velvet furnished easy chairs and sofas face a projection screen, conveniently covered, when not in use, by a blind made with reconstituted wood.
